Ligao is a station situated on the Manila-Legazpi Line and formerly the Legazpi Division Line. It serves Ligao City, Albay.

History[]

Ligao was opened in 1914 as part of the Legazpi Division Line from Tabaco to Iriga.

It was reopened on February 20, 1947 after repairs in the line was made due to war damage.

The station was renovated and reopened on September 18, 2015 for Bicol Commuter services.

  • Ligao is located 80.193 kilometers from the terminus of the Legazpi Division Line in Pamplona (since 1921).
  • When the old station building was demolished for reconstruction, the rubble stone pillars on the platform were retained but unlike those in Lucena, they were lifted rather adding an additional support for the new roof.
