Dagupan is a railroad station situated on the defunct Manila-Dagupan-San Fernando Line.  It serves Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

History

Dagupan station was opened on November 24, 1892 as the terminus of the then Manila-Dagupan Line, the first passenger train during its inauguration was named Alfonso XIII.

Station building was damaged during the Revolution Period, it was rebuilt in 1921 along with Mabalacat, Gerona and Moncada stations, the Engineering Office was also erected beside the station.

Since the closure of the Tarlac-Dagupan section of the Manila-San Fernando Line, the tracks were lifted with the platform area serving as a dumpsite up to this day.

Informations

  • Except for the two flagstops, Dagupan was the only station building that does not have any upper level built during the Spanish-Era.
  • A rubble stone station building was erected 264 meters south in 1935.
  • The Dagupan Express was the last service to be introduced before the closing of the station.
